Mold

Mold is a microorganism that has tiny seeds, or spores, that are spread in the air, land, and feed on organic matter. It has been in existence throughout human history, and actually contributes to the life process. It takes many different forms, many of them benign, like mildew. Some characterized as allergens can provoke allergic reactions among sensitive people, the very young, the elderly, and people with suppressed immune systems.

For mold to thrive, it requires two items, water and a food source. It is normally found around moist areas like crawlspaces, tubs, showers, toilets, sinks, water heaters, evaporator coils, inside attics, etc. It's not uncommon to have mold behind walls, floors and ceiling s and not even knowing it.

We have been trained by one of the top accredited laboratories in the country to perform air quality tests, swab and slide tests for mold. Our mold inspections use three different types of moisture meters, including infra red photography. The results of our tests, tells you all strains of mold found, not a limited profile of the most common molds. This is especially important since some individuals are highly allergic to certain strains of mold.
